Manucure and Pedicure Equipment for Salon Quality at Home

In order to get salon quality manicures and pedicures if you don't have time to visit a manicure salon, try doing them yourself. First you must obtain the right manucure and pedicure equipment or your experience will not be a pleasant one. You must have a quality polish remover to remove old polish and prepare your nails for new nail polish. If you want to wear artificial nails, you have to use non-acetone polish. You may use an acetone remover if you have natural nails unless they are fragile or brittle. First remove all polish before proceeding with your manicure or pedicure. Soak your hands and feet after using polish remover.

After soaking, applying moisturizer is the next step. A manicure warmer and disposable cups to warm lotions and oils will make your experience more enjoyable and faster. Next massage your hands and feet with warm moisturizer. You will love this pampering massage step. The heat helps the product penetrate the skin more efficiently and it feels heavenly.

Wipe your nails with polish remover after the moisturizing session to prepare them for polish. Before you polish your nails though, push back your cuticles with an orangewood stick wrapped in cotton and then shape the nails using a quality emery board. Different grades of emery boards are designed for natural and artificial nails. You can forgo polish if you wish and try buffing your nails to a shiny finish with a soft buffing square.

You'll discover that there is a great deal of difference between high end brands and drugstore brands, and once you try the salon brands you'll never be willing to use the drugstore ones again.
